San Zen – Doppelbock

Birra artigianale è spesso sinonimo di legame con il territorio, sia per quanto riguarda la scelta delle materie prime sia per quanto riguarda gli aspetti culturali che la caratterizzano.
Birra Mastino, birrificio veronese, è un classico esempio di territorialità culturale: il nome del birrificio, il marchio e il nome delle birre sono una celebrazione della città di Romeo e Giulietta.
San Zen, doppelbock di chiara ispirazione tedesca, prende il nome dall’ottavo vescovo di Verona, San Zeno.
Una bassa fermentazione in cui il malto è indiscusso protagonista, sia in aroma che nel gusto: dolce, con note caramellate, di panificato e di frutta secca.
Colore ambrato carico con schiuma beige e un grado alcolico di 7.5%.

Birra Mastino, veronese brewery, is a classic example of cultural territoriality: the name of the brewery, the brand and the name of the beers are a celebration of the city of Romeo and Juliet. San Zen, a doppelbock of clear German inspiration, takes its name from the eighth bishop of Verona, San Zeno. A low fermentation in which the malt is the undisputed protagonist, both in aroma and taste: sweet, with caramelized notes, of bread and dried fruit. Deep amber color with beige foam and an alcohol content of 7.5%. “Oh, Romeo Romeo! Why did you drink my San Zen?”
