Wit – Witbier

Wit di San Bernardus 5,5% Abbiamo già parlato precedentemente delle peripezie di questo birrificio di Watou di cui andiamo ad assaggiare questa Witbier fatta secondo la ricetta del vero Gota dello stile, Pierre Celis. Colore aranciato, all’occhio risulta lievemente opalescente con un cappello di schiuma bianco, cremoso e abbastanza persistente. Al naso buccia d’arancia, pepe, coriandolo (in minima parte) e panificato a media cottura. In bocca ha un corpo medio e una carbonazione ben presente. Note speziate ed un leggero ingresso amaricante della luppolatura la rendono scorrevole, va a terminare il suo viaggio gustativo verso l’arancia amara, decisamente secca grazie ai toni erbacei sul finale.

We have already talked about the vicissitudes of this Watou brewery of which we are going to taste this Witbier made according to the recipe of the true Gota of the style, Pierre Celis. Orange color, the eye is slightly opalescent with a white, creamy and quite persistent foam hat. On the nose orange peel, pepper, coriander (in a minimal part) and medium baking bread. In the mouth it has a medium body and a well-present carbonation. Spicy notes and a slight bitter inlet of the hops make it flowing, ending its gustatory journey towards a bitter orange, decidedly dry thanks to the herbaceous tones on the finish.
